At Global Health Evaluations (GHE), we specialize in evaluating program performance and interventions, providing tailored strategies for action, and supporting implementation efforts, particularly in complex regions.

Our Mission

At GHE we are dedicated to increasing the efficiency and impact of global health programmes and interventions through rigorous evaluation, strategic insights, and effective implementation, in order to improve the lives and health outcomes of communities across the globe, especially in the world's most challenging environments.

GHE was founded following the evaluation of the global withdrawal of OPV2 (the "switch"), one of the largest global public health interventions in history, impacting more than 155 countries. This evaluation provided a strong message and actionable recommendations that resulted in more stringent criteria for future withdrawal efforts.

Following the publication of the switch evaluation report, the evaluators (Drs Natalia Molodecky and Roland Sutter) recognised the need for high impact evaluations that lead to meaningful change of global health programs and interventions. To fill this gap, they created GHE.

GHE is led by the evaluators of the switch and supported through a Senior Advisory Group (SAG) of experts. A strength of the switch evaluation was the Sounding Board of experts that reviewed, provided insights, and endorsed the findings. GHE's SAG of experts functions in a similar way, with both permanent members and invited members based on topic or country.
